A note to my younger self…

I usually don't include personal reflections on my website, but I believe this one is necessary...

Dear Young Liv,

As I sit here and reflect on the journey that has brought me to this point, I can't help but think of you—the person I used to be. There are so many things I wish I could tell you, so many lessons and insights I've gained along the way. If I had the chance, here are some of the things I would say to you:

First and foremost, believe in yourself. I know it's easier said than done, but trust me when I say that you are capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for. Don't let self-doubt hold you back from pursuing your dreams and taking risks. Embrace the unknown and have confidence in your abilities.

Learn to embrace failure. It may sound counterintuitive, but the truth is that failure is an essential part of growth and success. Don't be afraid to make mistakes or take wrong turns. Each failure is an opportunity to learn, adapt, and become better. Embrace failure as a stepping stone on the path to success.

Take care of your well-being. In the pursuit of your goals, don't neglect your physical, mental, and emotional health. Find time for self-care, exercise regularly, eat nourishing food, and get enough sleep. Remember, you are not a machine—your well-being matters, and taking care of yourself will only make you stronger and more resilient.

Seek meaningful connections. Life is not just about personal achievements; it's also about the relationships we cultivate along the way. Invest in friendships, nurture family bonds, and surround yourself with people who inspire and support you. Remember to also be there for others, as true fulfillment often comes from giving back.

Embrace change and adaptability. The world is a constantly evolving place, and it's important to be open to change. Embrace new experiences, be curious, and never stop learning. The ability to adapt will serve you well in an ever-changing landscape, and it will open doors to opportunities you never imagined.

Live in the present moment. It's easy to get caught up in regrets from the past or worries about the future, but don't forget to live in the present. Cherish the moments you have, be fully present in them, and appreciate the beauty of the present moment. Life is a series of fleeting moments, and by being present, you can truly savor its richness.

Don't be afraid to dream big. Set audacious goals and go after them with unwavering determination. You have the power to create the life you envision, so don't settle for less. Believe in your dreams and work hard to turn them into reality. Remember that success is not always linear, but with persistence and resilience, you will overcome obstacles and achieve greatness.

I know that life can be challenging and uncertain at times, but I also know that you have the strength and resilience within you to overcome any obstacles that come your way. Trust yourself, believe in your abilities, and always stay true to who you are. The journey ahead is filled with ups and downs, but it's these experiences that will shape you into the remarkable person you are destined to become.

Lastly, include God in your decision making - always.

With love… Olivia
